Shakorie Davis uses his skills and knowledge to help the next generation of builders and designers.
Shakorie Davis, the President of Next Generation Construction, has demonstrated a strong commitment to community outreach and engagement.
Through his involvement with the ACE Mentorship program, Mr. Davis has contributed his time and expertise to teaching high school students the intricacies of estimating over a two-year period. Under his guidance, these students excelled in their field and even created the initial designs for a dog park in E. 71st for Midtown, which was ultimately built by Next Generation Construction.
Mr. Davis and his team collaborated with the Midtown committee, an architect, and a landscape architect to construct the Midtown Tech Park. His company was responsible for project estimating and the installation of miscellaneous equipment such as benches and grills.
The ACE Mentor Program is a highly regarded non-profit organization that prepares high school students for careers in architecture, engineering, and construction by providing mentoring by industry professionals. The program has been highly successful in guiding nearly 2,000 students through its courses, and the Cleveland affiliate has distributed over $1.4 million in scholarships to over 180 students. Mr. Davis is one of over 120 volunteers from over 70 local firms in the design, engineering, and construction industries that participate in the program.
